Offer ranking
What does offer sorting on the MODIVO platform look like?
Sorting methods
Customers have four types of offer sorting available on MODIVO:
- default
- latest
- lowest price
- highest price
Default sorting – what does it mean?
MODIVO uses product sorting that takes into account customer purchasing preferences, including:
- number of visits to the product card
- conversion to sales of visits to the product card
- availability of size options
- duration of the offer
- seasonality of sales of the product range
Important!
An important parameter affecting classification is the product series – if it is missing, the product will not be included in the default sorting results.
Note!
Products displayed on the website may be sorted based on the customer’s consent regarding cookies, in accordance with the rules set out in the privacy policy.
Offer ranking
Product classification rules depend on the MODIVO functionality used by the customer:
Home page
On the MODIVO home page, the order in which products are presented depends on the currently running promotional and sales campaigns. Within a campaign, the order in which products are displayed depends primarily on the current promotional offer. Regardless of promotional and sales campaigns, the online store uses default product sorting.
Main search engine
In order to search for a given product, the Customer can enter keywords in the search engine, based on which products whose name or category is closest to the entered keywords will be displayed. The Customer can also search for a product by entering the SKU index.
Products are displayed primarily based on how closely they match the keywords entered by the Customer. If more than one product meets the entered criteria, the order in which they are displayed depends on the current preferences of Customers.
Product categories
Customers can search for a given product by selecting product category tabs available at the top of the store interface and then within their subcategories.
Additionally, Customers can filter search results based on specific product parameters (e.g. color, brand, material). The order in which products are displayed as a result of selecting parameters depends primarily on how well a given product matches all of the criteria selected by the Customer.
If more than one product meets the above criteria, the order in which they are displayed depends on the current preferences of Customers.
Advertised content
As part of product placement on the home page, in search results, or within product categories, MODIVO may display content advertised by a given Partner. Advertised content refers to content that has been given increased visibility as a result of marketing activities, for example by being placed at the top of the product listing. Advertised content is always clearly marked as such and is displayed based on the parameters of a given search.
Product page
The product page always displays a single, current price for the selected variant (e.g. size). This price is assigned to the offer that currently meets the most important presentation criteria and is available to the customer. The offer directly available for sale on MODIVO is displayed first.
If the direct offer for a given variant is no longer available, the system automatically displays the offer of a Marketplace Partner, selected on the basis of price attractiveness and stock availability. This allows the customer to still purchase the product in the size they are interested in.
Information about who the seller of a given offer is always visible on the product page, directly next to the price and delivery terms, which ensures full transparency for the buyer.
From the Marketplace’s point of view, the following are of key importance:
- current prices and stock levels
- correct assignment of variants
- consistency of offer data
These factors directly affect the continuity of offer presentation and the shopping experience of customers.
Detailed rules for the selection of offers are part of MODIVO’s internal processes and are subject to change.
